_A new study from the University of North Carolina shows that people who meditated for 20 minutes a day performed 10 times better than ones who didn't meditate.
Not just 100% better, but 10 times or 1000% better. That's an amazing shift.
If you're writing your next book, like I am, imagine how that would affect your productivity and creativity.
Studies have shown that the calmer your mind is, the better you feel and the more productive you are. In fact, it's a great way to overcome writer's block.
Some might say meditation is one of the fastest ways of coming up with new ideas.
Or maybe you just want to feel free of the busy, chattering mind.
When your mind is calm - in the alpha state - you are open to creativity and ideas can just flood in. Your "muse" can fill you with just the inspiration you need. Your heart, throat and third eye chakras open to let in love, communication and intuition from your higher self (or some say from their spirit guides) to come into the physical realm. Try the free download of my Chakra Meditations.
In The Chakra Diaries, Mark cannot follow his true path or see how to use his psychic powers for his own good and the good of others until he balances his Third Eye Chakra.
The sixth, or Third Eye Chakra, when awakened, gives inspiration, intuition, insight and vision, and opens you to the world of your own psychic powers. It is through this chakra that you may connect to the higher self to seek and receive inner guidance.
Have a hard time keeping an open mind? An unbalanced Third Eye Chakra may impair your judgment, memory, clear thinking and concentration. You may not only have fuzzy thinking, but physical problems like headaches, sinusitis, vision problems, and nightmares. You may be addicted to accumulating material goods.
A balanced Third Eye Chakra helps your imagination soar, and you can draw on your intuitive powers of reasoning. Your psychic and telepathic abilities may be heightened, and you’ll be able to trust your inner wisdom.
YOGA POSES FOR THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA
Start with the Bumble Bee Breath, inhaling deeply then exhaling with the lips vibrating as you make the sound “hmmmmm.” Continue for a few minutes until you feel united with the vibration of the infinite. Then move into Kneeling Yoga Mudra, hands clasped behind you as you tuck the chin toward the chest, bend at the waist and lean forward until your head touches the floor.
THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA MEDITATION
The color blue from the Throat Chakra travels up to the third eye, the chakra of intuition, and turns an indigo color. Here we return to the magic of childhood, to unlimited possibilities, to skills we have always had but which were pushed out of sight. Now we are reintroduced to our true vision, as we breathe in and out the color indigo. We begin to awaken and clarify our inner vision and to have a clear picture of what we want our lives to be. We also awaken to a different kind of seeing, clairvoyance or clear sight, that allows us to look inside and beyond the limits of time and space.

The number seven is considered “lucky” in many games of chance while some numerologists say the number has a spiritual vibration linked with psychic abilities, introspection and heightened intuitive powers. More than 3,000 years ago, Hindu seers noted seven chakras, while some modern practitioners say that human experiences are defined within seven year cycles from birth to age 49, with years 50-98 being a repeat of the cycles at a higher frequency of energy.
During Ages: 0-7 and 50-56, the Base Chakra predominates, calling for stability, grounding and new beginnings.
From Ages: 8-14 and 57-63, the Sacral Chakra brings to light understanding of creativity, enthusiasm and an exploration of our boundaries.
The Teenage and Retirement years, 15-21 and 64-70, are colored by the Solar Plexus Chakra -- personality and wisdom are developed and the universe’s limitless possibilities are broached.
Twenty-somethings and Septuagenarians, 22-28 and 71-77, will best understand affairs of the Heart Chakra such as how to heal the earth, in addition to enhancing and sharing their love and compassion.
The Throat Chakra is best understood during ages 29-35 and 78-84 when openness to higher development, better communication and self-expression are key issues.
Ages 36-42 and 85-91 line up under the banner of the Brow Chakra and gain an understanding of clairvoyance, responsibility and deepening their life experiences.
From ages 43-49 and 92-98 the Crown Chakra may be further developed for spiritual enlightenment, meditation and contemplation.
